It is a branch of engineering that provides training and conducts research on issues related to the development and application of methods/techniques for the efficient and effective use of resources (human resources, finance, information, machinery and materials) in order to increase the efficiency of organizations that produce products or services.
Industrial Engineering students, who have the opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary studies with the analytical business intelligence of technical and physical sciences and the management functions, human relations and communication perspectives of social sciences, graduate with the ability to make effective decisions under the changing conditions of the system by using their leadership skills.
Industrial Engineers can work in public and private institutions. It can undertake operational planning tasks in the production and service sectors. While they can work as business analysts, project managers and consultants, especially in the field of business development and management, they also have the opportunity to work in the fields of supply chain management, information process design, facility design and planning, and product, process and schedule design.
